This Site was named after my childhood nickname "Poppy"
My dad who sadly isnt with us any more was gave me the passion for animals,he loved all animals and used to breed rabbits when I was little,I know he would be very proud of me and my piggies if he was still here today?
My Mum and my Nan called me Poppy and to this day I have no idea why? Its stuck all my life.
I am from the South of England near to Portsmouth and have lived here all of my life.
I spent 17 yrs working for my local vet as a nurse
I had 3 Guineapigs in 2001 and it started from then onwards, I had two litters in 2002 and continued to breed until 2006. I started showing on a pet level in 2006 and have done fairly well coming home from every show with a placement of some sort.
As well as looking after all my piggies I have 2 sons age 14 and 12 who are also passionate about my piggies. I am married to a lovely man and I have also got 2 rabbits, Duchess who is a Black Otter fox colour and is very large and Pebbles who is a Blue dutch rabbit.
